Due to the evolving Covid-19 outbreak in Sydney and surrounding areas please note the following:
As per the NSW Government Public Health Order masks are mandatory for all people aged 13 years or above entering Alstonville Medical Centre. Children under 12 are exempt but are encouraged to wear masks where practicable. Masks should not be worn by toddlers under 2 years of age and babies, as they are a choking risk.
You are not required to wear a mask if you have a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability that makes wearing a mask unsuitable. For example, if you have a skin condition, an intellectual disability, autism, or facial trauma, you are not required to wear a mask.
Wearing a mask helps to reduce community transmission of Covid-19. It also helps reduce transmission of other respiratory illnesses and we thank you for your understanding and for helping us all stay safe.
It is now mandatory for all people entering Alstonville Medical Centre to scan in with the QR code located at reception. If you are attending a Covid-19 vaccination clinic at the RSL hall, next door to the medical centre, you will also be required to check in via the QR code. If you are unable to scan in and you are not accompanied by someone who can, please fill out the book at the front desk.
Anyone with cold or flu symptoms, cough, or fever, will be requested to wait outside and have your mobile phone with you. Your doctor may call you on your phone to determine whether you should be seen in our respiratory room, rather than the usual consulting room. If you have respiratory symptoms and feel a Telehealth appointment is adequate, we would encourage you to request this when booking.
If you have been in Sydney or surrounding Covid-19 hotspots please do not come to Alstonville Medical Centre, we are happy to arrange a Telehealth appointment with you if you are an existing patient.
Please get a Covid-19 test if you develop any cold or flu symptoms, cough, or fever.

We are continuing our Covid-19 vaccination program and many of our patients are now receiving their second doses. Currently we are not changing the schedule for second doses of either vaccination. If there is evidence of community transmission outside of Sydney and surrounds, we will reconsider this and update this web page accordingly. For now, it is important that you attend your appointments for Covid-19 vaccination as scheduled.
If you are under 40 and not otherwise eligible for vaccination yet and wish to discuss your vaccination options, please book an appointment with one of our GP’s.
