Due to the complexity surrounding the vaccine if you are under 50yrs of age and consider yourself to be eligible in Phase 1b and wish to proceed, please make an appointment for a consultation with your Doctor to discuss this.

We would like to reassure everyone that you WILL receive your vaccinations and that we will be working hard to achieve this in a timely manner.

Our receptionists are extremely busy operating the front desk during routine clinic days and we would like to avoid overwhelming them with excessive enquiry regarding the COVID-19 vaccination. Please continue to check our website for updates regarding the vaccination and when you might be eligible to receive it. We will advise you how to go about booking into a clinic when the time comes.

Please inform yourself in the meantime about the COVID-19 vaccination and if you have any questions or concerns, we recommend you discuss them with your doctor prior to your vaccination appointment. We are more than happy to discuss the vaccination or any concerns or questions you may have at a separate appointment.

It is very important that you attend your booked COVID-19 immunisation clinic appointment or give us 24 hours’ notice if you cannot attend, to avoid any wastage of vaccinations and to ensure our vaccination program is smooth and equitable. It is also very important for you to attend your second vaccination clinic appointment, which will be made for 12 weeks after the first one, to ensure you have optimal protection against COVID-19.

If you are a new patient to Alstonville Medical Centre and require a COVID-19 vaccination – please book an appointment with one of our GP’s and ensure you have copies of your medical history or a referral letter from your usual GP. This is essential, we cannot vaccinate you if we do not have this evidence of your eligibility.

Please note if any of the following applies to you, we are not able to vaccinate you in our COVID-19 clinics:

  • * previous anaphylaxis to COVID-19 vaccination
  • * previous anaphylaxis to any other vaccination
  • * pregnant
  • * not eligible for Medicare

Prior to your COVID-19 vaccination please download, print, and fill out the Consent document below and bring to your COVID-19 vaccination appointment.
